Cooking Classes at Kitchen Obsession

Kitchen Obsession is home to hands-on cooking classes using Big Chill appliances. Hosted by Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef Julia Vorpahl of L’Atelier European, each session features a different theme, from dinners to desserts.
Think of it as Le Cordon Bleu Ridge.
Chef Julia Vorpahl brings her training from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris to the Kitchen Obsession showroom in downtown Blue Ridge. These intimate, hands-on classes showcase Chef Julia’s entertaining style and rich knowledge of cooking.
Designed for food lovers of all experience levels, L’Atelier classes offer an opportunity to learn new techniques, explore European-inspired cuisine, and enjoy the experience of cooking together in our beautiful, fully equipped kitchen.

Meet Chef Julia
European Culinary Expertise Meets a Passion for Teaching
Chef Julia Vorpahl brings professional culinary training and a love of European food traditions to every L’Atelier class.
A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Paris, Chef Julia has developed her culinary expertise through a focus on European pastry, baking, and cuisine. She also holds a degree from Georgia Tech. She combines her education with a lifelong mission to share her love of cooking, creativity, and technique.
Through L’Atelier, Chef Julia shares her knowledge in an approachable, hands-on format designed to make professional culinary techniques accessible to home cooks.
